Our accessibility commitment
Accessibility is fundamental to Disability SA’s purpose. We work with people with disability, neurodivergent people, families, carers, professionals and community organisations, so our information should be usable by as many people as possible.
Disability SA aims for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG provides internationally recognised guidance for making websites more perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for people with a wide range of access needs.
Current accessibility status
This website has been designed and reviewed against WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements. Automated and code-level checks have been addressed for areas including structure, colour contrast, keyboard access, responsive design, focus visibility, descriptive links and accessible navigation.
Formal conformance has not yet been independently certified. Manual testing with keyboard-only navigation, screen readers, zoom and reflow remains part of our ongoing accessibility assurance process.

For Disability SA, accessibility is not simply a technical requirement. It reflects our values and our commitment to Advocate. Educate. Celebrate.

Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. As services, content and technology change, we will continue to review and improve this website. We also recognise that automated testing cannot identify every accessibility barrier, so feedback from people who use assistive technology or experience access barriers is particularly valuable.
